Love apple juice?
Have spare apples on your tree?
Bring them along to Runnington Farmhouse, TA21 0QW, on Saturday the 23rd of October, between 10am and 4pm, and juice them! If you have more apples than you need, why not donate some to the community and share a little juicy joy?
Hannah Montag and her family have hired an industrial juicer from the Brendon Orchards Cooperative and have kindly offered to run a community juicing day on the Saturday the 23rd. A donation of around 50p a bottle would be welcomed to cover the cost of equipment hire.
Bring along some clean bottles with caps and your nice, fresh apples. Well washed screw-top wine bottles with caps are perfect! Brendon Orchards sells bottles too - let us know in advance how many you'd like. With just a bit of preparation, your apples can be added to a batch and juiced. 1kg of apples should provide around half a litre of juice.
It would be helpful, in terms of organisation, if you could email Greener.LB.Info@gmail.com in advance, letting us know if you have apples to donate, are going to bring your own, or are just interested in taking part. We hope to have some manual presses set up too so you can squash apples with your own strength!
Hope to see you there. Head for Runnington Church and look out for signs!
