Juicetastic!

Thanks to everyone who came and juiced at our first ever Apple Day, and thanks too to all the kind people who donated apples and bottles. Thanks most of all to Hannah, Paul, Andrea and Chris of Runnington Farm Cottage for hosting the day.

We mashed, squashed, bottled and pasteurised around 230 litres of juice, some of which has gone home with parishioners. Not bad for a first attempt!

We’ve a barrel of cider apple juice to be secreted away in an understairs cupboard, to be brought out for next year’s Apple Day. Fingers crossed for yeasty magic…

If you’d like a bottle of juice then hopefully we’ll have some available at parish events such as the community cinema and church services. Or you could always email us here at Greener LB.

Here’s to a good, cold winter, to absent friends and to blossoms in the new year!
